Please read this Disclaimer carefully before using the My Process website, videos, course, or any related content (the “Service”). By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to this Disclaimer, which forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Not medical advice
My Process is an educational movement and wellness program. All content, including videos, poses, protocols, articles, and descriptions of conditions, is provided for general information and education only. It is not medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.
The Service is not a substitute for professional medical care, physical therapy, or rehabilitation supervised by a qualified healthcare professional. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have seen or read on the Service.
2. No provider–patient relationship
Using the Service, purchasing a membership, or contacting us does not create a doctor–patient, therapist–patient, or any other healthcare provider relationship between you and My Process, its founders, instructors, or contributors.
3. Consult your doctor first
Always consult your physician or another qualified healthcare professional before beginning My Process or any exercise program. This is especially important if you:
- have had recent surgery, including joint replacement or spine procedures, and have not been cleared for exercise;
- have had a stroke or other neurological event, or have a neurological condition;
- have high or low blood pressure, heart disease, or any cardiovascular condition;
- are pregnant, postpartum, or have a pelvic floor condition;
- have balance problems or a history of falls;
- have an acute injury, unexplained pain, or pain that is getting worse; or
- have any other medical condition, or take medication that affects your heart rate, blood pressure, balance, or healing.
Follow any instructions or restrictions your healthcare providers give you. If their advice conflicts with anything in the Service, follow their advice.
4. Conditions and research
We describe conditions that people commonly use My Process for, such as chronic pain, post-surgery recovery, balance, muscle weakness, pelvic health, neurological recovery, and blood pressure. These descriptions are general information, not a promise that the program is suitable for, or will improve, your condition.
Where we refer to scientific research, such as research on isometric exercise, inflammation, or motor learning, we do so for educational purposes. Research findings describe results in studied groups and may not apply to you. Statements on the Service have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
5. Inflammation protocol and other guidance
Any guidance in the Service about inflammation, rest, recovery, nutrition, or lifestyle is general in nature. Talk to your healthcare provider before making changes, particularly if you have a medical condition, allergies, or take medication.
6. Assumption of risk
Physical activity carries inherent risks, including muscle strain, joint injury, falls, and, in rare cases, serious injury or cardiovascular events. You take part in My Process voluntarily and at your own risk, and you are responsible for your own safety.
- Move within a comfortable, pain-free range and never force a position.
- Practice in a safe, clear space, and use a stable support such as a chair or wall if your balance is limited.
- Stop immediately if you feel sharp or increasing pain, dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath, numbness, or any other unusual symptom, and seek medical advice.
In a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.
7. Results and testimonials
Results vary from person to person and depend on many factors, including your health history, condition, age, consistency, and effort. We do not guarantee any particular result, including reduced pain, improved function, or faster recovery.
Testimonials on the Service reflect the individual experiences of real members. They are not typical results, and your results may differ. Testimonials are not medical claims and should not be relied on as evidence that the program will work for you.
8. Accuracy of information
We work to keep the Service accurate and up to date, but health knowledge changes and we make no warranties about the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any content. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
9. External links
The Service may link to third-party websites, research, or resources. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices, and a link does not mean we endorse them.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Process, its owners, instructors, employees, and contributors are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from your use of the Service or reliance on its content. Our full limitation of liability, and the governing law and venue for any dispute (the State of Michigan, with courts located in Oakland County, Michigan), are set out in our Terms of Service.
11. Changes to this Disclaimer
We may update this Disclaimer from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when it was last changed. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Disclaimer.
